What is the field trip like?

The students will visit each of the following Stations:

Field Trip Stations DISH - The kids use chocolate syrup then dirty up bread plates and send them through the dishwasher! You would be surprised how much fun making a mess is!

BOH TOUR - Show and tell all the cool rooms in the back, such as the Meat Room, the Walk-In, Dry Storage, Point and Broil, and the Expo Line! Explain how food travels down the line and how it makes it to their table.

BREAD STATION - The kids use cookie cutters to cut out their own fresh baked bread. We put the bread in the oven and let the kids check out the mixers, the baking table, and where the ingredients are. They all wash their hands and put on gloves and aprons. The baker should explain the prep/baking process in a simplified fashion and then help the kids cut and tray their bread. Their bread should go right into the proofer as the trays are filled! That way, they can eat their own bread during their lunch.

MINI SALAD STATION - The kids get to make their own mini salads with their choice of dressing. We write their names on the salad bowls and put them on trays by their tables.

FOH TOUR - Show the kids how the host stand operates and teach them how to line dance.
