Math Bee and Lego Challenge

All grades are welcome!! Deadline: March 15th The Math Challenge consists of team and individual entries for series of math challenges ranging from mental math, word problems, speed drills. Math portion is non- competitive. The Lego challenge is a super-fun competition. See below for details.

About The Event

Math Challenge:

Team and individual math challenges ranging from mental math, word problems, speed drills. Children will complete their individual drills in a timed challenge answering written problems. Very relaxed atmosphere.

Lego Challenge

Students will bring their completed designs to be judged.

Free style entry:

Measurements: 6 inches x 6 inches x 6 inches

K- 1st grade only: Up to 12inches x 12 inches x 12 inches

Must be home designed, not out of a box.

Judging criteria: creativity, design, clear purpose (i.e. is it a building, a vehicle, a creature, etc) , meets measurements, symmetry, stability, color scheme, background story.

TEEN VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: volunteer hours given, bring your sheet, please contact Mary Patch to sign up for volunteering.

HEARTS Members are free - Participation certificates to all participants. Ribbons to Lego Challenge Winners.

$10 per participating child (Non members)
